What we collect

When you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from that provider. We store these to display your name and avatar next to the comments you leave on the site. We also store the text of any comments you post.

We do not collect payment information, phone numbers, or any sensitive personal data.

How we use it

Your name and avatar are displayed publicly next to your comments. Your email address is never displayed publicly — we only use it to identify your account. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties.

Google AdSense

This site uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google AdSense may set cookies on your device and collect browsing data to show ads that are relevant to you. This is handled entirely by Google. You can learn more about how Google uses data at Google's Privacy & Terms .

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

Affiliate links

Some links on this site are affiliate links — including links to Amazon (Amazon Associates program), Home Depot, and other retailers via ShareASale. When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Clicking affiliate links may set cookies on those third-party sites according to their own privacy policies.

Cookies and local storage

We use browser localStorage (not traditional cookies) to remember whether you have already liked a page or a comment, so your reaction isn't counted twice on refresh. No personal information is stored in localStorage — only anonymous flags tied to your browser.

Supabase (our database provider) may set authentication session cookies when you sign in. These expire when your session ends or when you sign out.

Data retention

Your comments and profile information (name, avatar URL) are retained for as long as your account remains active. You may request deletion at any time — see below.
